History/Details: History: · The inaugural issue of MAD Magazine in Brazil hit newsstands on July 1st, 1974, under the publishing banner of Vecchi. Otacílio D’Assunção served as its founding editor, succeeded by Raphael Fernandes in 2008. Following Vecchi's bankruptcy filing in 1984, the publication was swiftly acquired by the publisher Record. Despite facing financial challenges, MAD Magazine persisted until 2000, when declining readership led to its discontinuation. Mythos Publishing subsequently took the helm until 2006 when the rights were acquired by Panini. Details: · Issue #61, released in 1990 as the second edition, and featured a cover illustration by Glauco Cruz, showcasing numerous iconic characters from Marvel, DC, King Features, and Disney franchises, including the Phantom.
